A Restoration Company Built on 60 Years of Service
There are a lot of restoration companies in Northern California. CRBR is one of the oldest — and one of the few that started here, stayed here, and built something lasting. Since 1959, we’ve provided property damage restoration across Northern California, growing from a single cleaning operation in the North Valley into a full-service restoration and construction company with five branch locations.
We’re not a national franchise with a local office. We’re a locally owned restoration company with roots in these communities — in Chico, Yuba City, Sacramento, Redding, CA, and Reno, NV. Our team has seen floods, wildfires, burst pipes, and structural failures across every county we serve. That experience shapes how we respond, what we prioritize, and how we treat the people who call us during some of the hardest days of their lives.
“Doing it Rite” is more than a slogan for us. It’s the standard we hold ourselves to on every job — regardless of size, location, or circumstance.
Our History — From 1959 to Today
How CRBR Started and Where We’ve Been
CRBR’s story begins in 1959, when Verne Andreasen purchased a cleaning company in Northern California called “Dura-Clean” and renamed it Cleanrite. From the start, Verne’s commitment was to the communities of the North Valley — to show up reliably, do the work properly, and treat every customer with the same care he’d want for his own family.
That commitment carried forward to the next generation. In 1984, Verne’s son Danny J. Andreasen Sr. opened the Redding Branch, expanding the company’s reach into Shasta County and adding full-service restoration and construction capabilities under the “Buildrite” division. The company became Cleanrite-Buildrite — a name that captured both sides of what it did: clean up the damage, then rebuild what was lost.
Growth, Expansion, and a New Identity
Over the following decades, the company continued to grow across Northern California. Additional branches opened in Yuba City, Sacramento, and Reno, NV, extending the team’s reach into new counties and communities while maintaining the same locally owned, regionally focused approach.
In 2013, the company rebranded as CRBR — Cleanrite Buildrite — to reflect its evolved identity as a full-service property damage operation. Then in 2020, CRBR adopted its current name: CRBR Property Damage Services — Restoration & Construction, aligning the brand with the scope of work the company had grown to provide.
Today, CRBR operates branches in Chico, Yuba City, Sacramento, and Redding, CA, along with our Reno, NV office. Together, these locations serve residential and commercial customers across dozens of counties throughout Northern California and western Nevada. Furthermore, every branch operates under the same standards, the same values, and the same accountability to the communities it serves.
What We Do — Services Built Around Real Needs
Cleaning, Mitigation, and Restoration
Water damage mitigation, extraction, and drying is often the first call we receive — and the most time-sensitive. Beyond water, our cleaning and mitigation services cover mold remediation and removal, smoke damage cleaning and deodorization, carpet, rug, upholstery, and tile cleaning, air duct and HVAC cleaning, and contents cleaning and recovery.
Additionally, our wildfire and large disaster recovery team is equipped to scale response for major loss events — the kind that require coordination across multiple crews and extended project timelines.
Restoration and Construction
Mitigation stops the damage. Construction puts things back together. Our fire damage restoration and structural damage repair services bridge those two phases seamlessly — with one team managing the full scope from initial cleanup through final reconstruction. We’re also a licensed general contractor, which means we can handle upgrades, remodels, and home additions for customers who want to improve their property as part of the recovery process.
Specialty and Commercial Services
Some situations require specialized training and equipment that go beyond standard restoration. Our specialty services include biohazard and hazardous waste cleanup, crime and trauma scene response, encampment cleanup, vandalism response and repair, and home modification for accessibility. For business owners, we provide commercial cleaning, mitigation, and disinfection and commercial construction and facility maintenance programs designed to minimize downtime and protect ongoing operations.
Our Vision — Setting the Standard in Restoration
CRBR exists to set the pace for quality and customer service in the cleaning and restoration industry. That pursuit is ongoing — not a destination we’ve already reached. Our goal is to be in the top 1% of our industry through leadership, thoughtful systems, and a team that takes genuine pride in the work.
We invest in the communities where we operate. We take the long view on what success looks like. The decisions we make on any given job aren’t just about that job — they’re about the reputation we’re building every day across Northern California and Reno, NV.
Our Core Values — The Foundation of Every Job
Respect — Honoring People at Every Level
Every interaction at CRBR — with customers, team members, vendors, and partners — starts from a place of respect. We honor individual differences. We communicate openly. We believe that compassion and the commitment to do good work aren’t in conflict — they reinforce each other. Treating people well and doing excellent work are the same thing, done together.
Integrity — Doing It the Right Way
Integrity means doing the right thing even when no one is watching. At CRBR, that shows up in honest estimates, clear communication, and accountability when something doesn’t go as planned. We don’t hide from difficult conversations. Instead, we address them directly — because that’s the only way to maintain the trust our customers place in us on some of the worst days of their lives.
Teamwork — Stronger Together
No restoration job is completed by one person. Every project at CRBR involves estimators, technicians, project coordinators, subcontractors, and administrative support — all working toward the same outcome. We define teamwork as directing individual contributions toward a shared result. That means setting aside ego, communicating across departments, and carrying your part of the load completely.
Excellence — Raising the Bar Every Day
Excellence at CRBR isn’t about perfection on paper — it’s about consistent performance in the field. It means checking work before calling it done. It means following up after a project closes. It means pushing past the baseline of “acceptable” and asking whether the customer is genuinely satisfied — not just finished.
Certifications and Standards — Why They Matter
CRBR holds certifications and maintains memberships that reflect our commitment to professional standards. Our technicians receive training in IICRC-recognized methods, and our firm holds EPA Lead-Safe certification (NAT-30423-2), which is required for any work involving lead paint disturbance.
Beyond certifications, we maintain Cal/OSHA compliance on all asbestos-related work, proper licensing across all construction activities in both California and Nevada, and professional bonding and insurance coverage that protects our customers on every job. These aren’t formalities — they’re the minimum floor for doing restoration work responsibly.
Furthermore, our technicians are trained specifically to minimize secondary exposure during sensitive cleanup situations, using proven containment and cleaning protocols that protect both our team and our customers.
What Customers Can Expect — Our Guarantee
Satisfaction Backed by a Real Commitment
CRBR’s work is backed by a satisfaction guarantee. If any service doesn’t meet reasonable expectations, we come back at no charge to make it right. For cleaning services specifically, we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee of up to $500 if the results fall short of what we committed to delivering.
That guarantee exists because we believe accountability matters. It’s easy to promise quality before the job starts. The real test is whether you stand behind your work when a customer has a concern afterward. We do.
Insurance Coordination, Start to Finish
Most property damage restoration involves an insurance claim. CRBR works directly with most major carriers — including State Farm, Farmers, Allstate, USAA, AAA, and many others — to document damage, prepare estimates, and keep the claims process moving. Customers don’t have to serve as the relay between their restoration team and their adjuster. Our team handles that communication directly, reducing the administrative burden at an already stressful time.
Additionally, for customers who need financing to cover deductibles or out-of-pocket restoration costs, CRBR offers flexible financing options through our HelloRates partnership — with loan amounts from $500 to $100,000 and terms that work across a range of budgets.
Our Service Areas — Five Branches, One Standard
CRBR’s five branches collectively cover a wide swath of Northern California and western Nevada. Each branch serves its local community directly, while also having the resources to support large-loss events that require cross-branch coordination.
- Chico, CA (Corporate Headquarters) — serving Butte County, Glenn County, Plumas County, Nevada County, and surrounding communities
- Yuba City, CA — serving Yuba County, Sutter County, Placer County, Yolo County, and the greater Yuba-Sutter region
- Sacramento, CA — serving Sacramento County, Placer County, El Dorado County, Solano County, and the broader Sacramento metro area
- Redding, CA — serving Shasta County, Lassen County, Trinity County, Humboldt County, Tehama County, Del Norte County, and far Northern California
- Reno, NV — serving greater Reno-Sparks, Carson City, Fernley, Fallon, Lake Tahoe, and western Nevada
No matter which branch serves your area, the same standards apply. Furthermore, our 24/7 emergency line connects you directly to a real person — available every hour of every day, including weekends and holidays.
Working With CRBR — What to Ask Any Restoration Company
When evaluating restoration contractors, CRBR recommends asking the following questions of any company you consider — including us:
- Are they licensed, bonded, and insured in your state?
- Do they hold active IICRC certifications relevant to your type of damage?
- How long have they been in business — and are they locally owned or a franchise?
- Do they provide written, itemized estimates before work begins?
- Will they communicate directly with your insurance carrier?
- Do they guarantee their work?
CRBR answers yes to all of those questions. We’ve been in business since 1959, we’re locally owned, we’re licensed and certified, and we stand behind every job we complete across Chico, Yuba City, Sacramento, Redding, and Reno.
